Job OverviewThe Planning Engineer will be responsible for preparing planning, scheduling, monitoring & controlling the progress and forecasting of the project to ensure it is completed in a timely fashion. You will conduct assessments to identify and limit risks and provide appropriate solutions when the project team is faced with unexpected challenges. You will be the connecting engineer between all disciplines and activities. The Planning Engineer will report to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Develop/Execute the planning, progress measurement and forecasting taking into consideration the project constraints.
· Ensure planning and progress measurement set-up reflects scope of work, key milestones, client obligations and project requirements in accordance with the Project Controls Plan.
· Develop the detailed schedule taking into consideration project constraints such as resources availability and Project Execution Plan.
· Support and monitor the engineering works both done in house and performed by third parties of the project.
· Gather actual progress data from disciplines and databases.
· Consolidate and check consistency of data.
· Set-up and maintain planning tools and procedures.
· Communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved with planning and progress measurement activities.
· Determine the impact of changes and how they will affect the schedule.
· Issue internal reporting and progress measurements.
· Delivering internal reports in the field of overall planning, resource planning) and productivity.
· Participating in the definition of the appropriate techniques and the sequence of the PMS (projects management software) for all company projects.
· Assessing the viability and possibility of different construction methods, in order to decide which, one is the best in terms of budget, logistics and timing.
· Monitoring the progress of the project, aligning of resources and propose actions to smooth or correct the project execution process.
· Provide clear insights and reporting of all your planning in clear documentations, to support management or technical decisions.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s of civil Engineering or Architecture engineering or any related fields.
· 1 to 5 years of related experience.
· Fluent in English (writing and Speaking).
· Familiar with MS Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
· Customer service oriented with strong communication and people skills.
· You have a previous experience with specialized construction planning software's such as Primavera P6, MS Projects, project scheduling tools, Lean planning and reporting.
