Trucking Dispatcher

The Local AM Dispatcher role in Columbus, OH, is a key part of our operations team, responsible for coordinating daily transportation activities, supporting drivers, and delivering excellent customer service. JOB DETAILS: FULL TIME, MON - FRI, 0600 START TIME, PAID WEEKLY. MEDICAL/DENTAL/VISION/LIFE/401K AFTER 90 DAYS. PTO AVAILABLE

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers for local PUD's
• Coordinate Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) linehaul operations
• Communicate and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth logistics
• Handle customer service phone calls and respond to customer inquiries via email
• Process shipment paperwork and perform accurate data entry
• Maintain thorough follow-up on all dispatch and customer service activities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 year of experience in transportation or freight dispatch preferred
• Experience in transportation management preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Excellent organizational skills and dependability
• Professional and pleasant phone presence
• Strong customer service skills preferred
• Consistent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude

Compensation

Salary is negotiable and based on industry experience.

Offered compensation: $50,000/yr
