Job Title: Senior AccountantReports To: Managing DirectorJob Overview:The Senior Accounts will oversee the financial management, accounting operations, and compliance functions. This leadership role involves managing a team to ensure accurate reporting, efficient processes, and alignment with business. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of real estate transactions, financial analysis, tax regulations, and accounting standards.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.</li><li>Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.</li><li>Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the management team and stakeholders.</li><li>Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the company.</li><li>Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.</li><li>Ensure accurate tracking of project costs, revenues, and profitability.</li><li>Oversee tenant billing, rent collection, and reconciliation processes.</li><li>Implement cost allocation strategies for development projects.</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate filing of taxes, including corporate tax, VAT/GST, and property-related taxes.</li><li>Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance.</li><li>Keep updated on changes in tax laws and their implications.</li><li>Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.</li><li>Streamline accounting systems, processes, and software to improve efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>Conduct periodic audits and reviews to identify and mitigate financial risks.</li><li>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and finance staff.</li><li>Assign tasks, set performance goals, and provide feedback to team members.</li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration within the team.</li><li>Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions to secure funding or manage loans.</li></ul>Key Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).</li><li>Master's degree in Finance (MBA) or a related field (preferred).</li><li>At least 8-10 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.</li><li>Strong experience in the real estate sector, including project accounting, property management, and real estate tax implications.</li><li>Experience with ERP systems and financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>In-depth knowledge of real estate accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.</li><li>Advanced skills in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting.</li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software.</li></ul>Key Competencies:<ul><li>Strategic thinking and decision-making.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.</li><li>High integrity and ethical standards.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;30.00 - &#8377;50.00 per monthWork Location: In person
