JEC Miller provides high‑quality services to individuals receiving 245D‑licensed supports. We are committed to strong training standards, positive supports, and person‑centered practices. We are seeking a skilled 245D Trainer to lead all required new hire and ongoing training for our staff teams.
Position Summary
The 245D Trainer is responsible for delivering high‑quality training for new and existing staff, ensuring compliance with Minnesota 245D requirements and internal company standards. This position plays a key role in preparing staff to support individuals safely, respectfully, and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or equivalent crisis management training.
- Conduct Medication Administration and related health‑safety trainings.
- Lead New Hire Orientation and required 245D foundational training.
- Provide ongoing and annual training based on licensing, policy requirements, and staff development needs.
- Deliver person‑centered training, including positive behavior supports and trauma‑informed practices.
- Maintain accurate training records, tracking, and scheduling.
- Ensure all content meets MN DHS 245D training requirements.
- Assist with developing and improving training materials and curriculum.
- Collaborate with HR, Designated Managers, and program leadership to ensure training consistency across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a 245D‑licensed program or similar service environment.
- Strong knowledge of Minnesota 245D training requirements.
- Experience facilitating CPI or other crisis intervention training (or willingness to become certified).
- Experience training staff in medication administration and health/safety procedures (certification or licensure preferred).
- Strong communication, presentation, and coaching skills.
- Ability to teach person‑centered practices and positive support strategies.
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple training schedules and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified CPI Instructor (or equivalent).
- Background in Human Services, Behavioral Sciences, Nursing, or related field.
- Experience training staff in trauma‑informed care or positive supports.
- Previous experience in a training, supervisor, or leadership role within disability services.
- Designated Manager qualifications.
Pay: $25.45 - $30.65 per hour
