3D CAD Designer/Engineer Resource

Description:

The successful 3d CAD Designer/Engineer will:

• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and production drawings using Autodesk Inventor and Woodwork for Inventor.
• Generate accurate BOMs and documentation for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and CNC teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Support ERP integration by ensuring accurate CAD data transfer.
• Work with G-code outputs and CNC manufacturing processes.
• Train, mentor, and support team members in Autodesk Inventor.
• Troubleshoot design challenges and contribute to workflow improvements.
• Support the CAD to ERP integration

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least five years of experience with Autodesk Inventor.
• Prior experience in woodworking, millwork, cabinetry, or furniture manufacturing.
• Proficiency with Woodwork for Inventor.
• Understanding of ERP/CAD integration processes.
• Working knowledge of G-code and CNC woodworking equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to teach and support others in CAD best practices.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

The preferred candidate may have:

• Experience with AutoCAD or other Autodesk tools.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts.
• Experience creating or standardizing CAD procedures.
