Bachelor's degree or equivalent in geophysics, geology, or an equivalent field.
At least 10 years’ experience in seismic survey acquisition and supervision offshore and onshore.
Understand Dynamic Positioning (DP) vessel operations and limitations.
Proven field experience in offshore geophysical data acquisition and QC experience, preferably in the Middle East and / or Qatar.
Ability to perform production logging and reporting including acquisition logs, downtime, system faults, and resolution tracking; HSE observations and TBTs.
Familiarity with HSE and EMS applicable to offshore/onshore geophysical operations
Demonstrate experience across a variety of 3D / 2D seismic acquisition methods including towed streamer, OBN, transition zone, onshore (if applicable)
Have experience working in alignment with international standards (SEGY, IOGP, IAGC) or client specifications
Practical knowledge of and experience with industry-standard and proprietary acquisition software (i.e., Gun QC, Shearwater tools etc.); QC and processing (Omega, ProMAX, etc.), Navigation and positioning (NaviPac, Delph Seismic), basic programming and scripting (Python, Matlab) for custom QA routines is an advantage
Knowledge of streamer, OBN control systems, gun array QC, source signature evaluation
Experience with acoustic positioning systems (USBL, LBL), source-receiver offset QC, and environmental effects on acquisition
