North Shore Regional 911 is hiring for our first Academy Class of 2026, and we’re looking for motivated individuals who want to serve their community behind the scenes of emergency response.

As a 911 Telecommunicator, you are the critical first link in the emergency response system — the calm voice that helps people in their most difficult moments while coordinating police, fire, and EMS responders.

Pay

$32.93 – $44.73 per hour
$68,485 – $93,045 annually

Salary is based on experience.
Applicants with prior dispatch experience may qualify for higher salary steps.

We provide comprehensive academy training to prepare you for this challenging and rewarding career.

What You'll Do

As part of the North Shore Regional 911 team, you will:

• Answer and process emergency and non-emergency calls
• Dispatch police, fire, and EMS personnel
• Use advanced public safety systems including CJIS, NCIC, and RMV databases
• Coordinate with local, state, and national public safety agencies
• Provide life-saving instructions and support to callers
• Assist callers using TTY/TDD and language line services
• Maintain accurate communication and incident records
