Qualification & Experience:
- 3-year technical diploma / certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical Technology, or related field from a recognized institute.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in air conditioning, refrigeration and boiler system maintenance and repair.
- Experience with commercial HVAC systems or large buildings is a plus (helpful for a campus environment).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of air conditioning units (split ACs and boiler systems).
- Inspect, diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in AC and Boiler systems.
- Repair or replace defective parts such as compressors, capacitors, thermostats, motors, coils, filters, radiator, heat exchanger and other boiler parts.
- Respond promptly to breakdown calls and emergency repair requests.
2. Installation & Commissioning:
- Install new air-conditioners, boilers and components according to specifications and safety guidelines.
- Test and commission HVAC units and related equipment to ensure proper operation.
3. System Diagnostics & Documentation
- Use diagnostic tools and meters to check refrigerant levels, pressures, airflow and electrical continuity related to Split ACs and boilers other HVAC plants knowledge is preferable.
- Maintain accurate service records, logs, and reports of maintenance tasks and system performance.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety protocols and environmental standards (including safe handling of refrigerants where applicable).
- Maintain a clean, organized tools and work area and follow all occupational health guidelines.
5. Inventory & Tools Management
- Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts, refrigerant gas, and tools required for AC maintenance.
- Suggest procurement requirements for parts and materials to the supervisor.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong technical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and HVAC schematics.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computing skills (for documentation) is beneficial. Personal Attributes

Training/Certification:
- HVAC certification or training (preferred).
- Boiler engineer class certificate is preferable

- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
