AC Technician

AC technician:

• Install new AC systems, including split systems, central air conditioning, ductless units, and heat pumps, following manufacturer guidelines and blueprints.
• Connect electrical wiring, refrigerant lines, and ductwork.

• Inspect and test HVAC components (compressors, motors, thermostats, fans) for wear or damage.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues using gauges, multi meters, and leak detectors.
• Repair or replace faulty parts (capacitors, relays, compressors, evaporators) and recharge refrigerant as needed.
• · Communicate clearly with clients to explain issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
• Provide cost estimates and ensure work is completed within agreed timelines.
• Adhere to EPA Section 608 regulations for safe handling of refrigerants.
• Follow OSHA safety protocols for electrical work, confined spaces, and ladder use.
• Maintain service records, refrigerant logs, and invoices using digital tools or manual systems.
• Report recurring issues to supervisors for proactive solutions.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for urgent repairs during peak seasons or extreme weather.
