Academi Coordinator (Higher Secondary)

Job Purpose

The Academic Coordinator will oversee and coordinate the academic operations of the Higher Secondary Section, ensuring high standards of teaching, curriculum delivery, and student performance in accordance with the institution’s vision and educational policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Management
  • Implement and monitor the curriculum as per the Karachi Board relevant examination board requirements.
  • Plan yearly, term-wise, and monthly academic calendars in collaboration with subject teachers.
  • Ensure timely completion of syllabus and preparation for internal and external examinations.
  • Teacher Supervision & Development
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
  • Identify training needs and arrange professional development workshops.
  • Monitor teachers’ lesson planning, teaching methodologies, and assessment techniques.
  • Student Academic Progress
  • Oversee the assessment and evaluation process, ensuring fairness and transparency.
  • Identify underperforming students and coordinate remedial support programs.
  • Monitor student attendance, participation, and discipline related to academics.
  • Examination & Assessment
  • Coordinate internal examinations, mock tests, and board exam preparations.
  • Ensure timely setting, moderation, and checking of question papers.
  • Analyze examination results and prepare academic performance reports.
  • Coordination & Communication
  • Act as a bridge between management, teachers, students, and parents.
  • Organize parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress.
  • Communicate academic policies, updates, and important notices effectively.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Maintain academic standards through regular monitoring and evaluation.
  • Implement teaching and learning best practices in the classroom.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Administrative Duties
  • Prepare academic reports, teacher timetables, and duty rosters.
  • Handle academic documentation, student records, and board registration processes.
  • Support in admissions, student orientation, and subject selection guidance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Education or relevant subject (M.Ed, MA, MSc preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience at the Higher Secondary level; at least 2 years in an academic coordination/leadership role.
  • Familiarity with Karachi Board / Cambridge curriculum requirements.
