Position Title:

Academic Quality Controller

Purpose of the Role:

The Academic Quality Controller will ensure that all academic programs, teaching, assessment, and learning activities comply with institutional, national, and international standards. He / She is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and continuously improving the quality of education delivery, curriculum design, faculty performance, and student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain academic quality assurance systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with national accreditation bodies (e.g., Ministry of Education, CAA, or equivalent) and international accreditation standards (e.g., AACSB, EQUIS).
  • Conduct internal audits of academic departments, courses, and faculty performance.
  • Monitor adherence to institutional policies regarding assessment, grading, and academic integrity.

2. Program Review & Accreditation

  • Coordinate periodic program reviews, self-evaluation reports (SER), and accreditation documentation.
  • Support academic departments during accreditation visits and audits.
  • Track action plans from external and internal review recommendations to ensure continuous improvement.

3. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and report data on academic performance, student outcomes, and faculty effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports for senior management and regulatory agencies on academic quality indicators (e.g., retention, graduation, student satisfaction).
  • Maintain academic quality dashboards or databases.

4. Teaching & Learning Enhancement

  • Collaborate with faculty to promote best practices in teaching, assessment, and learning innovation.
  • Support curriculum development and revision based on data-driven evidence and feedback.
  • Organize workshops and training sessions on quality assurance and assessment practices.

5. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with deans, department heads, and faculty on quality improvement initiatives.
  • Engage students and alumni for feedback to improve program quality.
  • Communicate quality standards and outcomes across the institution.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of higher education quality frameworks and accreditation standards.
  • Strong analytical, auditing, and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to interpret academic regulations.
  • Communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems, data analytics tools, or LMS reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Quality Management, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in academic administration, quality assurance, or accreditation.
  • Familiarity with national (e.g., UAE CAA, QF Emirates) and international quality assurance standards.
  • Certification in quality management (ISO 9001, EFQM, or similar) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
