The Academic Support Center Coordinator-Developmental/Co-Requisite Math will participate in the supervision and coordination of tutors who provide service to students who visit the Academic Support Center of Westchester Community College. Responsibilities include tutorial assessment, and the ideal candidate will offer the following skill sets:

Serve as a liaison to the Mathematics Department and the Testing and Assessment Office.
Train tutors in policies and procedures of the unit, including the College Reading and Learning Association Tutor Training Program.
Recruit, hire, and evaluate Developmental/Co-requisite Math tutors, including collaboration with Mathematics Department.
Apply assessment and statistical methodologies to coordinate student and tutor learning modalities and processes.
Create the scheduling and coordination of Math tutors.
Keep accurate records of academic services provided to students through STATS, Learning Based Management System.
Familiarity with learning management systems and hyflex learning module development (e.g. Brightspace).
Provide assessment reports, including statistical analysis to the Chair of the Department on the success of the tutoring program.
Continuous research on the tutorial programs for future development of materials for WCC students that help foster new ways for student learning (e.g. co-requisite learning, social science tutorials, voice threads, or video modules that work in a digital domain).
Analyze assessment data, prepare written assessment reports, and effectively communicate findings to the division and department.
Perform other duties, as required by the Associate Dean of Center for Learning Resources, Library, Media & Instructional Technology.

Job Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field. Working knowledge and/or applied teaching methodologies of Math/Co-requisite learning modalities and thorough knowledge in best practices in assessment are required. The incumbent must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. They must also be able to work as part of a team.

All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to, and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice within the classroom.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Master's degree and three years of experience in academic support services are strongly preferred. Bilingual applicants are strongly desired. It is strongly preferred that the candidate has a minimum of two years of experience in co-requisite learning in addition to demonstrated assessment and data driven practices.

WORK SCHEDULE: The ideal candidate must be willing to work evenings (as assigned) and weekends.

SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $65,531. Additional compensation with seniority steps maximize at a salary of $78,389.
