Job Title: Accountant

Reports to: CEO

Scope and Purpose

The accountant is mainly responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal entries (accounts receivables and payables), ledgers and bank reconciliations. He/ She processes financial records such as bills, invoices, accounts payable and more.

Responsibilities & Duties

· Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

· Compile and present reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries and financial statements.

· Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.

· Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.

· Ensure social security and payroll income tax are duly recorded and paid to the competent authorities.

· Keep VAT records properly maintained and presented to the fiscal authorities in a timely manner.

· Supervises physical inventories at regular intervals at all stores/warehouses, note discrepancies and recommend adjustment entries.

· Maintain a healthy relation with suppliers through timely payment of due invoices

· Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

· Maintains a healthy cashflow throughout the organization.

· Minimizes extensions in liability settlements with reference to the CEO decisions.

· Maintains a healthy data entry (journals, ledgers, payables…) on the system and follows up on results, gaps, shortages and surpluses of any kind.

· Follows up on receivables from aggregators and third parties which the organization deals with.

Requirements of the job

· Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field, Master’s degree is a plus.

· 3 Years of Experience; preferably in the F & B industry

· Excellent oral and written English Or Arabic, other language is a plus.
