Account Manager

Position Summary
The Account Manager supports the growth and success of mid-size client accounts within our co-packing business.The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable collaborating across sales, operations, quality, and supply chain teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day communication and service for assigned mid-size accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and operational alignment.
- Support the VP of Revenue in executing account strategies, preparing quarterly reviews, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Responsible for onboarding new clients by coordinating data collection, documentation, timelines, and production readiness steps.
- Support inbound leads in partnership with the VP of Revenue by gathering requirements, preparing pricing proposals, and facilitating discovery calls.
- Prepare account summaries, quotes, and supporting documents for internal review by the VP of Revenue.
- Partner with Operations, Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure client needs, production schedules, and material requirements are aligned.
- Support new product introductions and packaging updates by gathering client specifications and facilitating communication between internal teams.
- Contribute to measurable improvements in client satisfaction, forecast accuracy, and on-time delivery through proactive communication and detailed follow-through.
- Support revenue growth and margin performance of mid-size accounts by applying strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and relationship management.
- Attend industry trade shows and conferences to strengthen client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and stay current on market trends.
- Meets all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements; participate in food safety meetings as required.
- Cultivates and promotes a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations; identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions; participate in safety meetings as required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in account management, client service, or sales support (beverage, food manufacturing, or contract packaging experience preferred).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; experience with CRM/ERP systems preferred but not required.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Work Expectations
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
- This position requires long periods sitting/working at a computer, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
- The employee should be able to lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Travel
- This position requires up to 50% travel.
