Full Charge Bookkeeper
Woodland Hills CPA firm seeks and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our business management/family office team. Excellent opportunity for a candidate who has the ability, skills, and desire to be an integral part of an established growing firm and is looking for a permanent and stable long-term position.
The Full Charge Bookkeeper services a variety of high income and high net worth clients. The Full Charge Bookkeeper performs a variety of confidential and complex accounting and administrative duties to make sure the day to day needs of clients and their families are met.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly bookkeeping activities of the client.
- Process bill payments (check, electronic), bank deposits, wire transfers, invoicing.
- Process and records client’s payroll for their office and household employees.
- Track fee income payments.
- Prepare credit card allocations and reconciliations and post to ledger.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain historical records by accurately filing documents.
- Prepare or review 1099's and W-2's prepared for clients.
- Maintain ledgers for client and client entities.
- Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Book investment statements (selected transactions).
- Prepare journal entries.
- Responsible for understanding the Client’s organization and structure for record keeping.
- Provide prompt and professional daily service to clients, and their assistants, family, attorneys, agents, bankers, etc.
- Review mail, email, and other communications for actionable items such as income checks, invoices, notices, etc.
- Monitor credit card activity, fraud alerts and credit score issues.
- Respond timely to ad hoc requests.
- Account reconciliation & analysis.
- Create new and modify existing complex spreadsheets.
- Review monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual General Ledger/Trial Balances.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and preparing appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients and partners.
- Support the tax department by understanding due dates, maintaining timely and meaningful supporting documentation, answering questions, and making tax payments as requested.
- Onboard new clients.
- May be called upon to spend time at clients’ offices for special projects, client personnel training, setting up of accounting systems, and performing tasks at client’s office (greater Los Angeles area).
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping for high net-worth individuals.
- Work experience at a CPA or Business Management firm is a plus.
- Ability to conduct self in a professional manner, exercise sound judgement, and maintain confidentiality.
- Punctual/Excellent attendance.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks – online and desktop versions.
- QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification is a plus.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to prepare specialized reports and spreadsheets.
- Ability to operate ten-key calculator, computer, and other general office equipment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll, payroll returns, business tax license, Secretary of State filings and State Board of Equalization is a plus.
- Notary Public commission a plus.

Details:
- Full Time, Permanent Position - Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
- Work is performed in our Woodland Hills office; 2 days WFH possible after 90 days.
