Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage our financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with established accounting standards and procedures. This role is crucial for providing the insights needed to support strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update accounting records and files, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing and posting journal entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts (e.g., bank accounts, credit cards, loans).
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable; manage invoicing and collections.
• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (sales tax, use tax, etc.) in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement).
• Support budget preparation and monthly forecasting activities.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for
• Assist with internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar bookkeeping/accounting role.
• High proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High degree of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Preferred:

• Experience with Zoho Books.
• Knowledge of specific tax regulations relevant to the industry.
