Accountant

`Ajman, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities:1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Record and reconcile all financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, bank).
  • Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and trial balance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.

2. VAT (Value Added Tax) Compliance

  • Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
  • Ensure accurate VAT treatment on sales, purchases, imports, and exports.
  • Maintain VAT records and reconciliation as per FTA requirements.
  • Handle VAT audits and correspondence with authorities.

3. Corporate Tax Compliance

  • Assist in preparing tax computations as per UAE Corporate Tax Law.
  • Ensure proper accounting for taxable income, exemptions, and adjustments.
  • Maintain records required for corporate tax filings.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for compliance.

4. Payroll & WPS (Wage Protection System)

  • Process monthly payroll in compliance with UAE labour laws.
  • Upload salary files to the WPS system and ensure timely disbursement.
  • Maintain employee records including leave, end-of-service benefits, and gratuity.

5. Budgeting & Reporting

  • Assist management in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor variances between actual results and budgets.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports for decision-making.

6. Audit & Compliance

  • Liaise with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and company policies.
  • Safeguard company assets through proper internal controls.

7. Other Responsibilities

  • Handle petty cash management.
  • Prepare customer/vendor account reconciliations.
  • Support management with ad hoc financial reports and analysis.
  • Implement improvements in accounting systems and processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience in UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax laws.
  • Experience with WPS payroll system.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Peachtree, or ERP systems).
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
