Accountant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant with 5–7 years of experience in the interior fit-out or construction industry, proficient in Tally ERP, and well-versed in managing project-based accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate project cost records, and ensuring financial compliance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage full set of accounts using Tally ERP.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions including journal entries, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Track project costs, expenses, and revenues to ensure they align with budgets and BOQs.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Oversee client invoicing, track collections, and manage subcontractor/supplier payments.
• Ensure timely VAT filings, compliance with local tax laws, and coordination with external auditors.
• Assist in budget preparation, cash flow forecasting, and cost variance analysis.
• Monitor retention, advance payments, and progress billing as per contract terms.
• Liaise with procurement and project teams for material costing and budget control.
• Support year-end closing and audit requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the interior fit-out, contracting, or construction industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tally ERP.
• Knowledge of project accounting, revenue recognition, and WIP schedules.
• Familiarity with VAT regulations and statutory compliance in [your region, e.g., UAE/GCC].
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience handling multiple concurrent fit-out projects.
• Familiarity with BOQs, quotations, and commercial contracts.
• Experience working with consultants, subcontractors, and project managers.
