Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions of the garage/workshop, ensuring accurate billing, monitoring parts and service expenses, reconciling accounts, and supporting management with financial reports. The role requires strong knowledge of automotive workshop billing, spare parts costing, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and verify customer invoices for repairs, services, and spare parts.
  • Review job cards for accuracy and ensure all labour hours, materials, and parts are billed correctly.
  • Process receipts, cash collections, and maintain proper records.
  • Coordinate with Garage Supervisor for closing job orders and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with customers for collections.
  • Process supplier invoices related to spare parts, consumables, tools, and garage services.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve variances.
  • Coordinate with Stores for parts issuance, returns, and stock adjustments.
  • Maintain cost records for spare parts, lubricants, tyres, batteries, and consumables.
  • Track workshop expenses and ensure accuracy in cost allocation.
  • Prepare monthly revenue reports for workshop services and parts sales.
  • Reconcile cash, bank, and petty cash for the garage operations.
  • Support finance team in preparing financial statements.
  • Ensure proper documentation of customer invoices, job cards, delivery notes, and payments.
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures and financial controls.
  • Assist auditors with required garage-related financial data.
  • Work closely with Workshop Manager, Service Advisors, and Storekeeper for smooth operations.
  • Provide financial input for budgeting, cost-saving initiatives, and operational improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years accounting experience, preferably in automotive garage/workshop.
  • Strong knowledge of workshop billing, costing, and spare parts inventory.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (ERP), Excel, and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: QAR2,500.00 - QAR3,000.00 per month
