Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, Corporate Tax laws, MOHRE procedures, and auditing practices. The ideal candidate must be capable of managing the complete accounting and payroll cycle while ensuring full compliance with UAE financial and labor laws.
Key Responsibilities - Accounting & Finance
- Manage full-cycle accounting including general ledger, journal entries, accounts payable & receivable
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain books of accounts in compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Prepare management financial reports and analysis
VAT & Corporate Tax
- Handle VAT registration, calculation, filing, and submission in accordance with FTA regulations
- Manage VAT audits, assessments, and clarifications
- Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax Law:
- Corporate Tax registration
- Tax computation and filing
- Supporting documentation and records
Auditing & Compliance
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors
- Ensure compliance with FTA, UAE laws, and regulatory authorities
- Maintain proper financial documentation and statutory records
Payroll, WPS & MOHRE
- Process monthly payroll in compliance with UAE Labor Law
- Handle WPS (Wage Protection System / WPA) file preparation and submission
- Ensure accurate salary transfers, allowances, deductions, and end-of-service benefits
- Use MOHRE system for:
- Applying and managing employee contracts
- Submitting and tracking work permits
- Handling labor-related approvals and updates
- Coordinate payroll-related bank processes and reconciliations
- Support HR with payroll, leave balances, gratuity calculations, and compliance matters
Government & External Coordination
- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and government entities when required
- Support visa, labor, and employee-related financial documentation as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of:
- UAE VAT Law
- UAE Corporate Tax Law
- UAE Labor Law & MOHRE procedures
- WPS / WPA payroll processing
- Hands-on experience using MOHRE platform
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, SAP, or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certifications (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA) are a strong advantage
