Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with strong expertise in bank reconciliations, QuickBooks, and Pakistan taxation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts, maintaining compliance with local tax regulations, and supporting financial reporting.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Records
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Bank Reconciliation
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.
- Maintain reconciliation reports and supporting documentation.
QuickBooks Management
- Manage company financial data using QuickBooks.
- Ensure accurate recording of invoices, expenses, and payments.
- Generate financial reports and maintain proper bookkeeping practices within the system.
Pakistan Taxation Compliance
- Prepare and manage sales tax and income tax filings in accordance with Pakistan tax regulations.
- Ensure compliance with FBR requirements and maintain proper tax documentation.
- Assist with preparation of tax returns and respond to tax-related queries.
Reporting & Compliance
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies.
- Support audits by providing required documentation and financial information.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (B.Com, ACCA, CA-Inter preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience in Pakistan.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Expertise in bank reconciliation and financial record management.
- Knowledge of Pakistan taxation laws (FBR, sales tax, income tax).
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Communication Skills: Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience working with multiple bank accounts and reconciliations.
- Familiarity with financial reporting for management and audits.
- Experience working with international or service-based companies.
