Accountant

OVERWIEW.

We are seeking a Senior Construction Accountant with strong, hands‑on experience across all core accounting functions within a construction environment. This role requires a highly self‑sufficient professional who can step in quickly, manage complex workflows, and partner effectively with project teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger accounting, month‑end close, and financial reporting

• Manage job costing

• Prepare and review AIA pay applications, lien waivers, and construction billing

• Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Support and process payroll accurately and timely

• Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and insurance platforms

• Ensure compliance with construction accounting standards and internal controls

Qualifications

• Well‑rounded accounting background withconstruction industry experience required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills;bilingual a plus

• Foundation Construction Software (preferred)

• Microsoft Excel and Word

• Experience with multiple general contractor and insurance platforms
