Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our contracting company in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably within the construction or contracting industry, and possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT regulations, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update accounting records, ledgers, and financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process supplier invoices, payments, and customer receipts.
• Handle bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Monitor project costs, expenses, and budget allocations.
• Assist in payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE financial regulations.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of UAE accounting experience (contracting/construction industry preferred).
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems, etc.).
• Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
