Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial operations for civil and MEP construction projects in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting activities, project cost tracking, payroll coordination, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting entries and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage project cost control and track expenses for civil and MEP works.
- Prepare invoices, payment certificates, and follow up on client payments.
- Monitor supplier and subcontractor payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain cash flow records.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and project costing.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP, or similar systems).
- Strong skills in MS Excel and financial reporting.
- Good understanding of construction industry payment cycles and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Experience in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of construction project accounting and cost control.
- Familiarity with VAT regulations in Saudi Arabia.
