Job Title: Accountant – Fast Food Restaurant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our fast food restaurant in Muscat. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, cost control, cash handling, and compliance with local regulations, ensuring accurate financial records and efficient financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily accounting entries, including sales, purchases, expenses, and petty cash
• Monitor daily cash sales, POS reports, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements, profit & loss reports, and management reports
• Control food cost, inventory cost, and wastage in coordination with operations team
• Manage supplier invoices, payments, and account reconciliations
• Handle payroll preparation and staff-related financial records
• Ensure compliance with Oman VAT regulations and assist in VAT filing
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required financial documents
• Maintain proper documentation and filing as per company and legal requirements
• Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in fast food / restaurant / F&B industry
• Strong knowledge of Oman VAT laws and local accounting practices
• Experience handling POS systems and restaurant accounting software
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Good understanding of inventory control and food cost analysis
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in multi-branch restaurant accounting
• Knowledge of stock audits and recipe costing
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Locally available candidates in Oman preferred
