Accountant Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accountant Manager to lead our finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will oversee daily accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and support management with strategic financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall accounting department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Payroll.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and audit standards.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Analyze financial data to provide management with insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Oversee tax preparation, filing, and compliance with local regulations.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of accounting staff.
• Support management in decision-making, cost control, and financial strategy development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred).
• Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or manager-level role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
• High proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems), Excel, and financial analysis tools.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the construction, contracting, trading, or facility management sector (optional based on your industry).
• Knowledge of Bahrain VAT regulations (if applicable).
