Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management
- Develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UAE standards.
Budgeting & Reporting
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes in coordination with management.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis).
- Monitor KPIs, cost control, and financial performance against budget.
- Advise management on financial risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations including VAT filings and reporting.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and government authorities as required.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Federal Law No. 33 of 2021 (Labor Law) regarding payroll and staff settlements.
- Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise and mentor the finance/accounts team (accountants, clerks, etc.).
- Ensure timely and accurate salary disbursements through WPS.
- Coordinate with HR, Logistics, and Operations to align financial policies with company procedures.
- Review and approve financial transactions, reconciliations, and supplier/customer accounts.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and UAE financial regulations.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho, SAP, or equivalent).
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or professional certifications such as CPA/ACCA/CA preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in F&B, retail, or hospitality.
- Proven track record in managing financial operations, reporting, and compliance.
- Fluency in English required; Arabic is an advantage
