Accountant (Mid Level)

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Accounts Officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in all financial documents. This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records by entering data into accounting software.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitoring expenses.
• Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and address inquiries.
• Stay updated on accounting principles and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Assist in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
