- Maintain and oversee day-to-day accounting operations specific to construction projects.
- Handle job costing, project billing, retainage, and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely vendor and subcontractor payments.
- Collaborate with project managers to track budgets, cost variances, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, construction tax laws, and state/federal regulations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and project expense reports.
- Support payroll processing, certified payroll reports, and union/non-union compliance (if applicable).
- Assist external auditors with annual audits and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Implement best practices in financial controls, accounting processes, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter/ACCA Part Qualified preferred but not required).
- 1–3 years of accounting experience in the US construction industry
