Job Description – AccountantPosition Overview
We are hiring an experienced Accountant for our sister company (not Eazr). The role requires a detail-oriented finance professional with strong expertise in accounting, reconciliation, taxation, and compliance management. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in handling accounts payable/receivable, finalization of accounts, statutory returns, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts, general ledger, and financial records.
- Perform bank reconciliations, debtor/creditor reconciliations, and balance sheet reporting.
- Manage accounts receivable & payable, including vendor/supplier account settlements.
- Handle GST, TDS, VAT, Service Tax returns, and refunds; issue TDS certificates and ensure statutory compliance.
- Assist in finalization of accounts and preparation of financial statements.
- Process payroll, staff reimbursements, and statutory deductions (EPF, ESIC, PT, etc.).
- Monitor treasury operations including forex transactions (spot and forward contracts for export/import).
- Prepare purchase & sales orders, debit/credit notes, and support audit requirements.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, and company secretaries for compliance and annual filings.
- Support in tracking investment portfolios (MF, AIF, PMS) and maintaining financial records for directors.
- Provide timely MIS reports and financial summaries to management.
- Mentor and support junior accounts staff, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation laws, and compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Tally ERP, SAP-FICO, QuickBooks, and advanced MS Excel.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- Ability to reconcile complex ledgers and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Good understanding of treasury operations, banking processes, and forex handling.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Commerce (M.Com) or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com).
- Professional certifications such as Dip. IFRS / US-CMA (preferred but not mandatory).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with exposure to corporate accounting.
- Prior experience in pharma/manufacturing/service industries will be an added advantage.
