Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting, financial controls, MIS reporting, statutory compliance, inventory accounting, and franchise/outlet financial operations.

The role requires strong expertise in Tally, Zoho, UAE VAT regulations, banking operations, and integration of POS / restaurant management systems with accounting platforms. Prior experience in QSR, hospitality, retail, or franchise-based businesses will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities1. Core Accounting & Financial Control

  • Maintain complete books of accounts including sales, purchases, expenses, journals, and ledgers
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and finalization of accounts
  • Outlet-wise and franchise-wise accounting and reconciliation
  • Monitor receivables, payables, advances, and outstanding balances
  • Ensure adherence to company accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls
  • Accurate accounting of inventory, wastage, discounts, promotions, and offers

2. MIS & Financial Reporting

Prepare and present monthly MIS reports including:

  • Profit & Loss statements
  • Outlet-wise and franchise-wise performance analysis
  • Food cost, manpower cost, and overhead analysis
  • Inventory movement and variance reports
  • Cash flow statements and working capital analysis
  • Budget vs. actual comparisons and variance analysis
  • Financial forecasts and trend analysis

Provide actionable insights to support cost control, profitability improvement, and management decision-making.

3. Statutory & Tax Compliance (UAE)

  • Manage UAE VAT compliance including return filing, reconciliation, and documentation
  • Correct VAT treatment for dine-in, takeaway, delivery, and aggregator sales
  • Coordinate with tax consultants for audits, assessments, and clarifications
  • Maintain statutory registers and compliance documentation
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and audit requirements

4. Payroll & Expense Coordination

  • Coordinate payroll processing with HR
  • Verify attendance, overtime, incentives, deductions, and benefits
  • Accounting of salaries, reimbursements, and employee benefits
  • Support final settlements and staff-related expense controls
  • Ensure payroll costs are correctly mapped outlet-wise

5. Banking & Treasury Operations

  • Handle day-to-day banking operations including current accounts, CC/OD, and loans
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS)
  • Process payments via cheque, NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, and UPI
  • Monitor EMIs, interest, bank charges, and fund utilization
  • Manage POS, card, and UPI settlements and reconciliations
  • Liaise with banks for audits, confirmations, and compliance

6. Franchise & Outlet Accounting

  • Monitor franchise fees, royalties, and related receivables
  • Reconcile franchise sales data and royalty calculations
  • Coordinate with franchise partners for financial submissions
  • Support franchise audits, compliance, and reporting
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting across all outlets

7. Inventory, Trading & Cost Control

  • Inventory accounting for raw materials, packaging, and consumables
  • Stock reconciliation between POS data, physical stock, and books
  • Monitor wastage, pilferage, and variance reports
  • Recipe costing and margin analysis
  • Support procurement cost control and vendor reconciliations

8. POS / Restaurant Application Integration

  • Ensure seamless integration between POS / QSR applications and accounting systems
  • Validate daily sales, discounts, offers, and settlement reports
  • Ensure accurate sales mapping for:
  • Dine-in
  • Takeaway
  • Delivery aggregators
  • Online orders
  • Support automation of reports and financial controls across outlets

9. Audit & Documentation

  • Support internal, statutory, and franchise audits
  • Maintain organized and accurate accounting records
  • Implement audit observations and process improvements
  • Ensure data confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity

System & Software Skills

  • Tally ERP / Tally Prime: End-to-end accounting, VAT, reconciliations, reporting
  • Zoho Books / Expense / Payroll coordination: Invoicing, expense tracking, MIS
  • Restaurant POS / QSR Applications: Sales, inventory, costing, outlet reporting
  • MS Excel: Advanced MIS, dashboards, reconciliations, and analysis
  • Ability to integrate and validate data between POS, Tally, and Zoho systems

Job Type: Full-time
