Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will support the organization’s financial operations by performing essential accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Duties
- Manage data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions using various accounting software on Thomson Reuters.
- Assist with bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare journal entries, perform double entry bookkeeping, and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support payroll management processes through the accounting software previous mentionet
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements.
- Assist with budgeting, tax preparation, and non-profit accounting tasks as needed.
- Contribute to internal audits by preparing documentation related to account reconciliation and financial reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; familiarity with Workday or UltiPro is a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Speak spanish and english
- Experience with payroll management systems as Thomson Reuters
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in 10 key typing and double entry bookkeeping.
- Ability to analyze accounts, perform account reconciliation, and interpret financial data effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
