The purpose of this job is to perform advanced accounts receivable functions, including home energy loans and special assessments. The position also serves as a lead worker, providing guidance and training to less experienced staff.

- Collects, reviews, and processes home energy loans, special assessment billings, and other complex billing transactions.

Develops and delivers training on relevant policies, systems, and procedures.

Monitors the work of entry-level accounting assistants; troubleshoots issues and provides guidance to resolve questions or concerns.

Investigate misapplied payments, payment amount discrepancies, and other issues related to accounts receivable.

Provides daily oversight of account reconciliation and ensures accounts receivable balances are accurate and up to date.

Responds to questions and requests from customers, vendors, and other departments.

Maintains financial records and prepares reports with accounting information.

Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience - An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.

3 to 5 years’ experience in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
Licenses or Certifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities which may be representative, but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position
Knowledge of:
- Generally accepted accounting procedures and principles.

General office practices and administrative procedures, records management, and administration techniques and procedures.
