Accounting & Finance Manager - Manufacturing

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing, preferably in furniture, textiles, or allied job-based industries.
  • Senior, strategic finance leadership role; beyond transactional bookkeeping, and not limited to tax or statutory compliance.
  • Responsible for building, owning, and scaling finance systems that drive cost transparency, operational discipline, and sustainable performance in manufacturing operations.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing costing, inventory, and reporting systems from scratch, particularly for product-based manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience working closely with production, stores, procurement, and design teams.
  • Strong command of cost accounting, management accounting, inventory accounting, and WIP accounting tailored to furniture and textile production processes.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel / Google Sheets.
  • Ability to design practical, factory-floor financial systems rather than purely theoretical models.
  • Highly process-driven with strong attention to detail and structure.
  • Comfortable spending time on the factory floor to understand operations and production workflows.
  • Strong communicator capable of training and aligning non-finance teams.
  • Ownership mindset with long-term responsibility for systems, controls, and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement job-wise and product-wise costing systems, including BOM-based costing for bespoke furniture.
  • Establish standard vs. actual cost variance analysis and track labor, overheads, wastage, and rework costs.
  • Deliver margin analysis by product, client, project, and sales channel.
  • Implement robust controls for raw material intake, store issuance, WIP tracking, and finished goods valuation.
  • Define and enforce inventory valuation methodologies (FIFO / Weighted Average, where applicable).
  • Ensure physical vs. book inventory reconciliation and partner with production and stores teams to maintain discipline.
  • Design end-to-end accounting and internal control processes aligned with the manufacturing lifecycle (Procurement Stores Production QA Dispatch Invoicing).
  • Implement approval matrices, financial authority limits, and SOPs for POs, GRNs, store issues, production completion, invoicing, and collections.
  • Identify and eliminate financial leakages, inefficiencies, and undocumented processes.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts focused on operational insights.
  • Develop executive dashboards covering gross margins, WIP value, inventory turnover, cash flow, and job profitability.
  • Support founders with data-driven decision-making, rolling forecasts, and annual budgeting aligned with growth plans.
  • Ensure compliance with Pakistan tax laws (Sales Tax, Income Tax, Withholding) and statutory audit requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and banks, maintaining clean and audit-ready books at all times.
  • Lead the finance-side implementation of ERP or ERP-like systems (Odoo, SAP B1, or customized solutions).
  • Build interim Google Sheets–based systems where required and ensure seamless integration of production, inventory, and accounting data.
  • Design scalable systems capable of supporting multi-location manufacturing operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs110,000.00 per month
