We are seeking a motivated Accounts Trainee to join our team in Lahore to support our Australian-based clients.
About the Role
As an Accounts Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in the Australian accounting ecosystem. You will assist the team with day-to-day bookkeeping, focusing on maintaining "audit-ready" records in accordance with Australian accounting standards. This is an ideal entry point for an ACCA professional looking to specialize in the Australian outsourcing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- AU Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate records using Xero or MYOB, ensuring correct coding of transactions for GST (Goods and Services Tax).
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices and track payments, ensuring compliance with Australian Tax Invoice requirements.
- Payroll & Superannuation: Support payroll processing, including calculating Superannuation Guarantee (SG) contributions and maintaining employee records.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily reconciliations of Australian bank accounts and credit cards to ensure real-time financial accuracy.
- BAS Support: Assist senior team members in gathering data for Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Installment Activity Statements (IAS).
- Reporting: Help prepare Year-End Workpapers and financial statements in line with Australian standards.
- Client Liaison: Communicate professionally with Australian clients to request missing information or clarify transaction details.
About You
- Education: ACCA Finalist or Qualified.
- Experience: 0–1 year of experience (Fresh graduates with a strong interest in AU Tax are highly encouraged).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel. Prior exposure to Xero, MYOB, or Receipt Bank (Dext) is a significant advantage.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of Australian tax concepts (GST, Tax Invoices, and the July–June Financial Year) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills, suitable for interacting with Australian business owners.
- Attributes: High attention to detail (essential for AU compliance) and a proactive approach to learning new software.
