About this role:

We are currently looking for a Accounting Manager to join our finance team in Türkiye, based in Istanbul. This position will primarily focus on all financial and statutory processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance in accounting and will work closely with the Finance Director within Universal Music Türkiye structure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations including general accounting, cost accounting, and accounts receivable/payable in compliance with local regulations and company procedures,
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax declarations (VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax, social security, etc.),
• Oversee accounting processes specific to the recorded music industry (royalties, licensing revenues, copyright payments, artist contracts, etc.),
• Prepare and present periodic financial reports such as balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements,
• Assist in statutory and international audit processes (internal audit, independent audit, etc.) and providing leadership where required,
• Manage relations with banks and financial institutions, and plan cash flow,
• Work closely and in collaboration with the other members of the finance team,
• Monitor, report, and account for revenues from digital music platforms, physical sales channels, and licensing agreements.
• Ensure compliance with Turkish regulations, accounting standards (TMS/TFRS), and internal control procedures in all financial processes.

Qualifications:

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related fields,
• Preferably holding a Certified Public Accountant (SMMM) license,
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in accounting (at least 4 years in a managerial role),
• Experienced with ERP/SAP accounting software,
• Strong knowledge of Turkish accounting and tax legislation,
• Proficient in TFRS and MS Excel,
• Strong analytical and reporting skills,
• Leadership and team management capabilities with excellent communication skills,
• Experience in music, media, or entertainment industry is a strong plus

Preferred

• At least intermediate level of English writing and speaking skills.
