Accounting Manager

Cairo, Egypt

Job Purpose:

The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy,

compliance, and timely reporting of financial data. The ideal candidate will have a strong

understanding of ERP systems and will be responsible for streamlining accounting processes,

managing a team of accountants, and supporting strategic financial planning.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, bank

reconciliations, and payroll accounting.

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with

internal standards and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure accurate and timely closing of financial periods and submission of tax and

statutory filings.


ERP & System Oversight

• Act as the finance system lead, ensuring data integrity, system accuracy, and process

optimization.

• Work closely with IT and operations to improve system workflows and reporting

capabilities.

• Train and support accounting staff in utilizing system efficiently.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, setting clear KPIs and supporting professional

development.

• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial adjustments

prepared by the team.


Internal Controls & Compliance

• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure process

compliance.

• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and banks for all required external engagements.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with procurement, inventory, and logistics departments to ensure proper

financial tracking of stock movements and vendor payments.

• Provide financial insights to senior management to support decision-making.


Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA is a plus).

• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a

managerial role.

• Proven experience with ERP systems (must-have).

• Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent knowledge of local taxation and financial regulations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
