Accounting Manager
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team and oversee all aspects of accounting operations in our growing manufacturing company. This role is full-time, on site, and responsible for managing all day-to-day accounting procedures, preparing financial reports, implementing strong internal controls, and ensuring timely and accurate accounting functions.
General Accounting:
- Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger, accounts
payable/receivable, fixed assets and payroll processing.
- Month end and year end close and financial reporting process, in accordance with
GAAP.
- Monthly reconciliation of all financial and bank accounts.
- Maintain and improve internal accounting procedures and controls.
Cost & Inventory Accounting:
- Maintain accurate inventory records, pricing of raw, fabricated and purchased materials, finished goods and WIP allocation.
- Establish annual inventory procedures and controls.
- Oversee and participate in job costing process and inventory relief.
- Analyze production costs, overhead allocation and financial trends.
Financial Reporting & Support:
- Prepare annual budget and forecast.
- Monitor sales and use tax reporting requirements in various states as applicable.
- Prepare required sales and use tax reports based on reporting cycles.
- Monitor fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Collaborate with external CPA firm to support tax filings and annual review/audit
process.
- Provide financial input on pricing, product costing and vendor analysis as needed.
Team & Systems Management:
- Supervise accounting assistant (A/P, Job Costing and similar duties)
- Manage accounting software and recommend improvements.
- Manage company computer systems with support of outside vendors.
- Support ERP and CRM implementation and integration with production systems.
- Related procedures as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5+ years similar experience.
- Prior experience in manufacturing and fabrication environment preferred.
- Basic legal understanding of property security interests and filings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Traverse, advanced Excel skills helpful.
- Excellent problem-solving, initiative, attention to detail, and communication skills
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
