Accounting Manager

Brief: The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting. This role oversees the general ledger, assists with the monthly close process, and supports compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies. The Accounting Manager works closely with the Director of Accounting to support financial planning and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative with strong technical accounting skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, general ledger, payroll support, and bank reconciliations.
  • Support Director of Accounting with a monthly close process.
  • Prepare and review financial reports and schedules in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maintain daily financial reports tracking revenue, expenses and KPIs.
  • Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to accounting workflows and systems.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Accounting and cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Investigate discrepancies or inconsistencies in data.
  • Provide support for the Executive team as needed for finance related issues.
  • Train on all critical daily/weekly tasks performed by Director of Accounting for redundancy
  • Comfortability with Cloud-Based systems and software, including but not limited to:
  • Quickbooks Online
  • Ottimate / PlateIQ (AP Software)
  • Toast Point of Sale
  • Payroll Software
  • Inventory Management
  • Google Business Suite
  • Credit Card software
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of accounting or finance-related experience.
  • Restaurant industry experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Proficient in GL management
  • Moderate understanding of GAAP
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Time Usage:

Reports To: Director of Accounting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
