Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate must be extremely detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task. They must have efficient and independent working capability. The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance. This position reports directly to ownership.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages general accounting and other related duties for the organization.
  • Maintains basic internal controls.
  • Prepares financial statements and related schedules.
  • Manages the general ledger and ensures accuracy of entries.
  • Manages payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconciles cash and loan accounts, payroll, and other financial accounts.
  • Manages customer accounts and accounts receivable collections.
  • Manages fixed asset activity.
  • Prepares the schedules and documents needed for filing income tax returns.
  • Prepares and files quarterly and annual payroll, property, and fuel tax returns.
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Manages the company’s property, liability, and health insurance.
  • Provides administrative support to other managers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • A minimum of one year of related work experience.
  • Strong computer skills - ability to learn our software systems.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Organized and detail orientated, manage priorities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Efficient time management and ability to work under pressure.
