Accounting Specialist (Hybrid)

POSITION: Accounting Specialist (Hybrid)

Position Summary:

The Accounting Specialist supports both our financial and sales departments. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background who enjoys working in a dynamic manufacturing environment and is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities with accuracy and professionalism.

The position’s primary focus is bookkeeping and accounting, with sales support as an important secondary function.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Accounting (Primary Function)

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks including reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit card management.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for inventory, labor, expenses, and cost of goods sold.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, identifying discrepancies or unusual activity.
  • Support month‑end close, including journal entries, account reviews, and financial exports.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including timesheet review, adjustments, and payroll reporting.
  • Assist with tax‑related items such as use tax, payroll liabilities, and compliance documentation.
  • Update internal financial dashboards and KPI reports for leadership.

2. Sales Order Entry (Secondary Function)

  • Receive and process customer orders via email, phone, website, and purchase orders.
  • Enter and maintain sales orders in QuickBooks with accurate pricing, terms, and delivery details.
  • Review customer requirements, quality clauses, and regulatory needs (FAR, ITAR, etc.).
  • Set up part numbers, issue order confirmations, and manage order changes

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production environments preferred.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Starting at $58K/year

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am – 11:30am

Work Location: Hybrid, 40% in-office/60% remote
