Duties and Responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant
- Daily Accounting Tasks
- Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software or ledgers.
- Maintain books of accounts including sales, purchase, and cash/bank books.
- Invoice Processing
- Prepare and issue sales invoices to clients.
- Verify, process, and record purchase invoices from suppliers.
- Bank and Cash Handling
- Handle petty cash transactions and maintain petty cash records.
- Perform bank reconciliations and track bank transactions.
- GST and Tax Filing Support
- Assist in preparing GST returns and ensure timely filing.
- Maintain records of TDS deductions and help in filing TDS returns.
- Vendor and Customer Account Management
- Track receivables and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Reconcile accounts with suppliers and customers.
- Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing monthly and yearly financial reports.
- Support auditors during internal or external audits by providing necessary documents.
- Payroll Assistance
- Support payroll processing by maintaining attendance and salary data.
- Record salary disbursements and related entries.
- Data Entry and Documentation
- Ensure accurate data entry and maintain proper filing of financial documents.
- Digitally organize and back up all financial records.
- Compliance and Accuracy
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Identify and correct accounting errors or mismatches.
- Coordination with Other Departments
- Collaborate with the purchase, sales, and HR departments for accurate financial records.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
