Simpaisa, a leading payment facilitator, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Account Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Record financial transactions using ZohoBooks
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Handle sales tax and withholding tax filings in compliance with local regulations
- Maintain general ledger and ensure proper documentation of all transactions
- Assist in audits and provide necessary financial data when required
- Coordinate with internal teams for financial data and reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, B.Com, or BBA
- ACCA / ICMA (Part-qualified preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
- Strong understanding of tax calculations and compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software (ZohoBooks)
- Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
