Accounts Manager

India

1. Purpose:

To manage and oversee all accounting and financial functions of the company. The role includes bookkeeping, statutory compliance, salary disbursement, taxation, vendor/customer reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely decision support for management.

2. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts as per statutory requirements and company policies.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations such as expenses, payments, and receipts.
  • Ensure timely billing, GST compliance, TDS deductions, and filing of returns.
  • Monitor daily cash flow, bank reconciliations, and petty cash handling across all stores.
  • Manage vendor and customer account reconciliations.
  • Oversee salary disbursement and statutory compliances payment. (PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, etc.).
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities for audits and compliance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports for management.
  • Monitor inventory accounting, stock reconciliations, and shrinkage reporting in coordination with the stores and warehouse.
  • Implement internal financial controls and ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
  • Train and supervise the accounts team to ensure timely and accurate work delivery.

Knowledge Criteria:

Education - B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter

Experience - 6–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail / FMCG sector

Technical Skills - Knowledge of Tally ERP / any ERP system, GST, TDS,

IT Skills - MS Word, MS Excel, Email

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
