Accounts Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Accounts Manager to oversee our company's accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts, ensuring the integrity of all financial records, and producing accurate financial reports. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with senior management to guide the company's financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement).
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and reports to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Month-End & Year-End Closing:
  • Oversee the entire month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor company expenditures and track performance against the budget, reporting on any significant variances.
  • Compliance, Taxation, and Audit:
  • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local financial/tax regulations.
  • Manage all tax-related matters, including the timely filing of sales tax, income tax, and other statutory returns.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during the annual audit process; prepare and provide all necessary documentation.
  • Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Continuously review accounting processes and systems to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, accuracy, and automation.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS), financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
  • Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Finance or an MBA.
  • Experience in the industry.
  • Hands-on experience with [ERP system e.g., SAP Business One, Oracle NetSuite].
  • Proven experience in liaising with tax authorities and external auditors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs90,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
