Accounts Manager

Job Title: Accounts Manager

Location: Dubai, UAE

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire accounting function, including AR, AP, GL, and payroll.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with UAE VAT regulations and other financial laws.
• Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Implement and manage job costing systems to track project-wise profitability.
• Monitor all project-related costs, including raw materials (wood, veneers, hardware), labor, and overheads.
• Analyze cost variances and report on project performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Work closely with project managers to provide financial insights and ensure projects remain on budget.
• Manage company cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for material procurement and operational needs.
• Oversee the credit control process, ensuring timely collection from clients (main contractors, consultants, direct clients).
• Manage payments to suppliers and subcontractors, optimizing payment terms.
• Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
• Develop financial models and projections to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead and mentor the accounts team, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements and accounting system enhancements (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Sage, or custom ERP software).

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA). A professional qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a significant advantage.
• A minimum of 15 years of overall professional accounting experience.
• At least 8 years of accounting experience must have been gained within the UAE.
• Proven, extensive experience within a joinery, interior fit-out, or furniture manufacturing company.
