About the Role
The Accounts Payable function plays a critical role in ensuring effective and efficient financial operations that support Afiniti in achieving its business goals. This role will be responsible for overseeing and executing day-to-day accounts payable activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of vendor and employee payments.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and the treasury team to maintain strong controls, improve processes, and ensure a smooth month-end close. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, global environment while contributing to a highly visible finance function.
What Will Be Your Key Deliverables
- Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and reimbursements.
- Maintain and regularly update accounts payable tracker sheets to capture all transactions.
- Ensure accurate reflection of vendor data in templates and systems.
- Perform three-way matching of invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation.
- Verify vendor data and invoices for contractual compliance.
- Allocate expenses correctly to GL codes, cost centers, and other accounting segments.
- Submission of tax payment of monthly withholding income tax returns in IRIS for FBR, PRA & SRB ensuring compliance
- Reconciliation of withholding taxes payable ledgers for accuracy and compliance.
- Settle outstanding vendor credits against open invoices and ensure necessary adjustments.
- Upload invoices and employee reimbursements into the ERP system, ensuring accurate journal entries.
- Coordinate with the treasury team for timely vendor and employee payments.
- Support the month-end closing process, including accruals based on AP data.
- Follow up on aged payables with relevant departments.
- Identify opportunities to improve AP processes, controls, and efficiency.
Who You Are
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting function.
- Hands-on experience with ERP accounting systems.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification or currently pursuing one is a plus.
Skills
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to upload, validate, and manage large volumes of data intelligently.
