JOB TITLE: Accounts Payable Specialist - North America

LOCATION: New York, NY


ABOUT THE JOB

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable invoices, maintaining accurate vendor records and use tax remittance and reporting. Other duties include 1099 processing and expense monitoring according to Artemyn North America policies and procedures.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes accounts payable invoices for Artemyn North America (US and Canada) including employee expenses. The process will include ensuring proper invoice authorization, verifying invoice quantities and amounts, coding and posting invoices into the system, researching previous balances, etc.
  • Handles all vendor telephone calls and inquiries.
  • Ensure corporate credit card bills are disseminated and receipts and authorizations are complete.
  • Reconcile GR/IR account for un-invoiced receipts.
  • Posts journalized documents into the general ledger.
  • Collects supporting documentation for monthly intercompany invoices.
  • Performs various analysis and reconciliations as required.
  • Reconciles vendor accounts.
  • Assists in month end tasks/processing.
  • Assists Head of Finance, North America with financial closings and audit support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


ARE YOU A MATCH?

  • High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance a plus.
  • 2-3 years SAP Hana4 Fiori experience required.
  • 2-3 years Accounts Payable experience working with general ledger, cash reconciliation, month-end closing, and general accounting processes of inter-company and fixed assets
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) products and ability to utilize the Internet
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form with both internal and external parties.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a good rapport and effective interpersonal relationships with a broad group of individuals.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze and solve a variety of work-related problems.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles.
  • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain financial and accounting records.
  • Ability to set priorities and complete assignments on time.
  • Ability to create basic spreadsheets and write correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial work.
