CPC is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting Team at our Fountain Run, Kentucky location. As an agribusiness specializing in the manufacture and distribution of animal feed and nutrition products, CPC values accuracy, accountability, and strong working relationships — especially with our vendors and partners.

What You’ll Do

As our Accounts Payable Specialist, you will manage the full-cycle accounts payable process and serve as a key point of contact for vendor accounts.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing vendor accounts and maintaining accurate vendor records
• Reviewing, coding, and entering invoices for accuracy and proper approval
• Overseeing approval workflows to ensure compliance with company procedures
• Scheduling and processing vendor payments (check, ACH, and other approved methods)
• Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
• Communicating professionally with vendors regarding billing questions or payment status
• Supporting documentation and record-keeping standards

You will begin working in QuickBooks and will transition to NetSuite as CPC completes its financial systems migration. This transition offers a valuable opportunity to gain ERP experience and contribute to process improvements.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or similar accounting support role
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly

Preferred:

• Experience with QuickBooks
• Exposure to NetSuite or other ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
