About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly efficient Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client’s team in St. Paul on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, transactional environment and enjoys keeping AP processes moving smoothly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process 400+ invoices weekly with speed and accuracy.
  • Maintain a fully paperless AP environment using digital tools and workflow systems.
  • Enter and code invoices, verify approvals, and prepare payments.
  • Work daily in Microsoft Outlook , Teams , and other internal office systems.
  • Leverage keyboard shortcuts and optimized workflows to manage high volume efficiently.
  • Collaborate regularly with cross‑functional teams to resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Ensure deadlines are met for weekly and monthly AP cycles.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support audit requests when needed.


Requirements

  • Minimum 11,000 KPH (keystrokes per hour) —must be comfortable working quickly and accurately.
  • Prior accounting experience with a solid conceptual understanding of Accounts Payable .
  • Comfortable in a high-volume, transactional AP role.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience with AP software or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite .
  • Reliable, consistent, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, collaborative working style.
  • Ability to adapt to digital workflows and paperless environments.
